Serenity

To accept the things I cannot change. I have always had trouble with that part. It is still a struggle for me but I am working on it! So many things in our life cannot be changed, and must be accepted. You can make your own list. Mine includes:

the unfortunate choices of family members
the hurts brought upon those I love
bad political figures governing our cities, states and nation
aging
prices
taxes
death
mistakes I've made
weather

Courage to change the things I can.
The good news is there is a lot I can change, including, but not limited to:

my attitude
my words
the way I use my time
my choices
  - to heal or to harm
  - to be pleasant or crabby
  - to treat others kindly, harshly, or with indifference
  - to set a good example for my children and others, or to regret the example I set
  - to reflect the fruit of the spirit in my life or live selfishly
  - my generosity or greed
  - etc.

The wisdom to know the difference.

This is all God. I don't have much wisdom myself, that hasn't already come from Him. I just need to keep learning and listening to what He tells me to do.
