FORGIVEN

I've been trying to understand and appreciate people's tatooes more lately. I'm seeing them more as body art than I originally did in my judgmental/critical spirit that saw everything different than me as wrong. Still working on it people. Give me time.

I like the one I saw on someone's blog post picture of her husband's arm. (The above is similar, but not exactly the one I saw). Down the whole arm it said only one word in large gothic style type:
F O R G I V E N . Nice! I even thought of getting that one myself. But I am not really a tatoo-myself kind of person. So, for now, I will just admire the ones I see on others.

What a beautiful word. Man never would have invented the concept or the word. It has to come from God.  Total forgiveness is what we receive when we come to Calvary's cross and lay down all our ugly sins and receive freely the righteousness of God in exchange. It is a divine gift for a sinful mankind.

So when you are tempted to return to the self-loathing pre-set button on your soul that so many of us have, remember you are loved and cared for by the Supreme Being in the universe. And remember you are FORGIVEN!
